So he is from where I am from Washington DC. I had the pleasure of meeting him when he must have come down from Baltimore at a soul food spot. He was the coolest and friendliest guy ever. Some folks recognized him others didn’t but anyone that did he had a convo with and took a pic if they wanted. He’s even sexier in person.

According to wiki, Bernthal is a Washington DC native, born in 1976, who went to Harvard. He has very influential and wealthy relatives.

Yea he went to a pretty prestige’s school here in DC , even though I get the feeling he wasn’t really about the life his family had. His friends here from when he was younger were not from wealthy backgrounds

Ehhhhh I think the Podcast is a more bringing everyone to the table to talk sort of thing. He is not Blue Lives matter at all his story and post in the past has proved his is very liberal. On that same podcast he has had BLM and social justice guests. The Shai Lebouf thing I believe is just hearing his side. He hasn't had any controversial guest on the podcast Shai I guess would be the closest to being that. Given that he just did a show about corrupt Baltimore cops framing members of the blk community , that's not a role Blue lives matter folks would be jumping over. I think he respects cops which YOU CAN DO , but still hold them accountable. On top of all that being from this area and growing up the way he did and around who he did would make him extremely liberal.

I don't know. I saw an interview where he said he wasn't eager for the role and that he needed a lot of convincing to take the part. American actors are really averse to frontal nudity and it's hard imagining them doing it for projects they aren't sure of.

Also Showtime these days doesn't do nudity like it used to , it's hard to find a Showtime show which has nudity these days. They've grown tamer.

But maybe with the success of Euphoria, and all the male nudity there, maybe Showtime might change its mind
 
So according to critic reviews American Gigolo seems to not be very good and critics are mixed on Jon Bernthal's performance. As for the nudity, Jon isn't going full frontal(one critic explicitly mentions this when comparing it to the original film). There are multiple instances of his torso being mentioned and him being shirtless a lot. I don't know if that's the extent to which we see him, no review has mentioned his ass/butt just him being shirtless. A couple of reviews say some of the sex scenes are risqué while others say it's nothing out of the ordinary.

Again no review mentions Jon's nudity just his torso and him being shirtless. I would say we don't hold up much hope it seems we are likely going to be disappointed.
