| Hunter x Hunter and Attack on Titan have the worst elitist. AoT elitist have kind of disappeared honestly so I'm gonna say HxH has the worst by far. I would also say Jojo but the elitist are more annoying than anything. |

| Going through all the replies I expected more JoJo replies. I think even as a fan of the series, the community can be very toxic. Didn't know that people thought that the HXH community was so toxic, as far as I was concerned it was very par for the course considering shonen fanbases, either that or I'm out of touch. As for the rest of the thread most people are in Unison that aot, EVA and the rest have pretty shit communities. Funny how the communities of anime people shit on seem to be the most wholesome, you don't see people complaining about SAO fans because their nicer than people from the AOT community |

Even if only a tiny percentage are maladjusted asshats, the numbers add up quickly when you have like a million-plus fans. Then that little toxic subgroup acts as a circle-jerking echo chamber that reinforces their initial negativity into something truly mind-boggling. These are kids' cartoons, people. | I think that majority of users here are mistaking Elitism with Toxicity No way you can call someone with Attack on Titan in their favorites as Elitist because having only One Anime as favorites makes that person the filthiest casual and he is placed at the lowest at the hierarchy of Anime/Manga community I would say that the less popular a series is, the fanbase is most likely to be Elitist because the fans had already watched a ton of series unlike majority of so called Elitist Shounen Fans who pretend to be Elitist and then get bullied by Real Elitists. But when it comes to Elitist behaviour (aka considering oneself Higher Level Thinker and shitting on other Anime as hobby) I would say Anime with lot of Deconstructed tropes such as Hunter x Hunter, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Mushoku Tensei, Re:ZERO, Monogatari series, School Rumble, Madoka Magica, Fate Zero, Great Teacher Onizuka, Gundam, Kaiji, Revolutionary Girl Utena etc. Also, Shoujo fans and Josei fans along with Slice of Life fans have higher Elitist presence than Seinen fans. |

 You know its generally just elitists individuals or really insane fans online that take it too far for the most parts fans of a particular show aren't more elitist than others. Generally we see elitists individuals proclaim themselves as anime elitists using certain shows like a bullet proof vest. Most fans of the pick popular shows like AOT, FMA:B, HXH and others are normal well adjusted people its just that these elitists declare themselves elite by using those certain shows or other shows like Neon Genesis Evangelion or LOTGH which used to be popular to gatekeep the community with. Lines like "Your not a real anime fan if you haven't seen X or X shows" or "You have poor taste because you watched X or X shows". Best advise ignore them and enjoy the shows you like most anime fans IRL are certainly not going to act like pricks just because you watched a show they don't cart for unless their a "That Guy" |
